"Detention is the worst!" Archer huffed and slumped deeper in their chair. Bubby sighed and then jumped up startling the others. "It doesn't have to be!" His eyebrow raised and everyone knew he was up to something. Archer knew Bubby was good at making things fun and a giant grin spread across their face. "Yeah?"
Bubby grabbed Archer's hand and dragged them across the room to the old record player in the corner. "Come on help me move this thing!" They lugged it across the room. Moved desks around and figured out how to plug it in and play an old record they didn't know was from the 80s. Archer ran to their bag and pulled out a pair of skates, which reminded Bubby he had his too and they put them on and started bouncing off all the desks.
People were looking at them like they were weirdos, but..
...before they knew it everyone was having fun. They forgot why they were even in detention. Who knows anyways right? Adults are always getting mad over minor things, like sticking gum to our own chairs, huffs.
